Christmas holiday - things to do!

If you're wondering what and where to go this Christmas holiday, there's lots to do right here in the lower mainland.  Christmas trains at Bear Creek Park and Stanley Park, Winter bird walks - many places including Barnston Island in Ladner and Boundary Bay, FREE skating at our Community Santa Skate Dec 18th and also daily at Robson St. Arena in Vancouver.  Visit the aquarium, the zoo, the heritage musuems in Burnaby or Fort Langley, the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth park with it's Jewel Box of Lights.  Vandusen Gardens Festival of lights is always popular and there's lots of buzz about the Vancouver German Christmas Market.  Love the snow?  Besides skiing the local mountains offer snowshoeing, skating and tobogganing. 

If you're in Vancouver be sure to stroll thru the the decorated 25th annual Festival of Trees at the Four Seasons Hotel and Pacific Centre Mall...It's a fundraiser for the BC Children's Hospital, buy a vote for prizes too.
